Astrophotography
During my freshman year as an Astrophysics major, I would complete projects on imaging the moon, Jupiter and various star clusters. These projects were the first introduction I ever had with a computer language. I had to learn the syntax of a program called IDL (International Data Language) which is software used by astronomers of the international community. The images below were all taken with a CCD camera attached to a 12" Reflecting Newtonian Telescope.
The next gallery is a set of long exposures I took with a family member's Nikon DSLR and a sturdy tripod. My next project is to get some star trails! Enjoy!
